When you have seen all the major tourist attractions in the area (which we sadly have the inherent need/impulse to visit before we really can relax 🙂 )- take your time to wander or drive along the beautiful countryside and coast of the Cote d’Azur. Its simply amazing to live for the moment and to get lost in the beautiful deep blue ocean and rich vegetation. Go for a picknick – drink a glass of Rosé wine or just enjoy the wonders of nature while hiking through the woods and fields of France!!!
After spending an incredible time in the beauty of the provencal countryside – we traveled further to the coast of the Cote d’Azur to Cannes. The famous city convinces through its beautiful blue sea, little shops and great restaurants. If you need a break from the numerous designer shops and fancy people visit the nearby island “ile saint honorat” where you can visit the old monastery or walk along the islands beautiful beach or forest!
We took the Train from Switzerland and ruffly four hours later arrived in beautiful Milan for a short Weekend-Trip! We were welcomed by beautiful weather, nice people, for us the best food on the planet “Italian Hmmmm..” and shopping alleys which make every woman cry 😉
In the valley of Valensole in de Haute Provence and the Vaucluse in France we have experienced the most beautiful hours of our whole Trip. We spent the day wandering through the colorful and deserted Lavender Fields which bloom from the middle of June to the beginning of August ….♥
St. Moritz is the oldest winter holiday resort of the world since 1864. From our hometown of Zürich – Tom and I have the privilege to travel around Switzerland very easily and to see all the beautiful things Switzerland has to offer! Since we are passionate Ski and Snowboard riders we went to famous St. Moritz for our Winter Holidays.
(Good to know: Try to set your trip around the dates when St. Moritz is hosting its famous Horse Riding Tournament the 2White Turf” on the frozen St.Moritz lake )
Arriving at Nice Airport – we couldn’t have wished for a better start to our Holiday in France than driving up the little roads to the impressive Canyon “Gorge du Verdon” in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and onward to a breathtaking view over Lac de Sainte-Croix!
We say HELLO to all of you “Passionate Travelers” “Food Lovers” & “Photography Addicts”!! Welcome to our Blog tomkat-on-the-road!! Please join us on on the road from little Switzerland once around the world!
