Today I want to introduce to you the new topic on our blog than besides traveling theres really nothing I adore more than cooking! So here ist a recipe from Rache Khoo FRENCH COOKING WITH A TWIST
So Rachel Khoo is a british chef and food stylist who has had a short cooking show on BBC. Although she is british she has been living in France in Paris for some time now and is mostly cooking French delicacies with a twist. At the moment she is traveling around the world promoting her second Book which I introduced earlier in the Blog. But first things first, I wanted to start with some treats from her first book “The little Paris Kitchen” (no worries I will be cooking from the second book but I can not decide on what right now 🙂 )
So here comes the first recipe, one of my absolute favorites, so quick, extremely delicious and perfect to begin with!
Oeufs en cocotte alias Eggs in Pots
Ingredients: 4 eggs, 150g crème fraiche Seasoning: salt & pepper, nutmeg, dill optional Garnish: red lumpfish roe, small springs of dill
Preheat the oven to 180C. Season the crème fraiche with salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg. Placed a heaped tablespoon of seasoned crème fraiche into the bottom of a ramekin, add a little dill. Then crack in an egg on top and add a tablespoon of crème fraiche again. Fill each ramekin.
Place them into a baking dish an pour in enough water into it so the water comes up halfway the side of the ramekins. Bake it for 15 minutes or until the egg white is how you like it. You can finish it of with a spring of dill and the red lumpfish roe! (not going to use it because I don’t like it =) )
Prep Time: 10min, Baking Time: 15min
